TYPE: Female holotype taken in Ficus log on Mount Glorious , 27 ° 20 ̍ S, 152 ° 46 ̍ E, Queensland (Sept. 26, 1988; F. Wylie, M. DeBear), deposited in QMB ( S28495 View Materials ) .
ETYMOLOGY: The specific name is a noun in apposition taken from the type locality.
DIAGNOSIS: Males resemble those of R. binnaburra but have a shorter, recurved proximal prong, and an additional ventral protuberance, on the retrolateral tibial apophysis (figs. 600, 644) and a longer tip on the palpal conductor (fig. 599); females can easily be recognized by the vshaped posterior epigynal margin (fig. 601).
MALE: Total length 13. Coloration as in R. lugubris . Leg spination: femora: I–IV p11 0; tibiae: II v1p1p2; III v1p22; IV v1p2 2, r011; metatarsi: III p001, v202; IV p001, v001p, r100. Retrolateral tibial apophysis greatly expanded distally into distally and recurved, proximally directed prongs, with additional, ventrally situated protuberance (figs. 600, 644); cymbium without prolateral thickened setae, with only slight projection on retrolateral edge at about onethird its length, median apophysis with three distal points, conductor tip long (fig. 599).
FEMALE: Total length 13. Coloration as in male. Leg spination: femora: I p100; II–IV p110; tibiae: III v1p22; IV v1p22, r01 1; metatarsi: III p001, v202; IV v001p, r100. Epigynum with vshaped posterior margin, atrium deep, with narrow posteromedian septum (fig. 601); secondary spermathecal bulbs directed laterally (fig. 602).
