Samples: Moen2_ Halimeda

Dimensions: 104.9 μm long, 25.8 μm wide; 23 striae in 10 μm, 27 areolae in 10 μm.

Comments: Cox (1983) did not illustrate this species but provided a key to the species of Donkinia at the end of her revision, in which this specimen keys out satisfactorily to Donkinia baltica (this is not the ‘ D. cf. baltica , she illustrated in Cox 1983). Reid (2012) transferred those Donkinia spp. with transverse + longitudinal striae to the sister genus Carinasigma but our specimens have transverse + diagonal striae and are therefore Donkinia .
