Samples: Moen1_ Padina, Moen View in CoL 4_ Dictyota View in CoL

Dimensions: 13.1–24.8 μm long, 6.6–11.9 μm wide; 16–23 striae in 10 μm, 15–20 areolae in 10 μm; 17 fibulae in 10 μm.

Comments: The taxonomy of this group of nitzschioids is very confused there are many similar species for which no names can yet be assigned. The group is sometimes called Tryblionella coarctata (Grunow) D.G. Mann complex but the loculate structrure of the common species in Micronesia seems to best fit into Psammodictyon ( Lobban 2015a) .
