48. Mastogloia subacuta Hustedt Fig. 40 View FIGURES 35–47

References: Hustedt (1927 –1966), p. 523, fig. 957; Simonsen (1987a), p. 142, pl. 230, figs 1–4.

Samples: Moen1_ Padina View in CoL

Dimensions: 30.6 μm long, 11.6 μm wide.

Diagnostics: Valve lanceolate-elliptical valve with sharply pointed rostrate apices, partecta offset, chambers of two distinct sizes, larger toward the middle.

Comments: The valve shape and the septa structure is similar to M. subacuta in Hustedt collection ( Simonsen 1987a, b). Differs from M. seychellensis , which also has offset partecta, but has gradually tapering chambers and blunt rostrate apices.
