Type:—[fossil leaves] Öhningen, Landkreis Konstanz, Baden-Württemberg, Germany (lectotype, designated here, B 669/1802, Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule, Palaeobotanische Sammlung, Zürich, Switzerland-illustrated by Heer 1857: pl. 122: 12).

Occurrence:—Upper Miocene (Tortonian); Eurasia (Europe).

Note: —The figured specimen of Heer (1857: pl. 122: fig. 14), designated as a lectotype by Palamarev & Petkova (1987: 47), is lost, therefore, a new lectotype designation is necessary.
