Dorsal shield 403 (365–430) long, 302 (280–325) wide; j1 21 (19–23), j3 33 (32–35), j4 3 (3–4), j5 3 (2– 4), j6 4 (4–5), J2 4 (4–5), J5 8 (7–10), z2 10 (8–11), z4 16 (15–18), z5 4 (3–5), Z1 5, Z4 109 (104–114), Z5 111 (110–114), s4 92 (86–97), S2 12 (10–15), S4 10 (9–10), S5 10 (9–10), r3 17 (16–18), R1 9 (6–13). Distances between st1-st3 47 (45–48), st2-st2 69 (68–72) and st5-st5 144 (143–145); ventrianal shield 141 (138– 145) long, 210 (208–213) wide at level of ZV2 and 125 wide at level of anus; rounded preanal pores posterior to and almost in longitudinal line with JV2; JV5 46 (45–47). Peritreme extending forward to level of j1. Movable cheliceral digit 39 (38–40) long, with 2 teeth; fixed cheliceral digit 39 (38–40) long, with 11 teeth. Calyx of spermatheca 20 (19–22) long. Macrosetae sharp: SgeIV 22 (20–23), StiIV 20 (19–20), StIV 35 (31–40). Chaetotaxy: genu II 2, 2/0-2/0, 1; genu III 1, 2/1-2/0, 1.

MALE. (1 specimen measured)

Dorsal shield 275 long, 208 wide; j1 18, j3 30, j4 2, j5 4, j6 5, J2 4, J5 5, z2 14, z4 18, z5 3, Z1 6, Z4 83, Z5 72, s4 59, S2 12, S4 10, S5 10, r3 15, R1 10. Ventrianal shield 125 long, 183 wide at the anterior corners; with 3 pairs of lyrifissures (anterior and in longitudinal line with ZV1, anterolaterad to ZV1, anterolaterad to ZV3); elliptical preanal pores posteromesad with JV2. Peritreme extending forward to level of j1. Macrosetae sharp: SgeIV 17, StiIV 16, StIV 30. Chaetotaxy of genua II and III as in female.

Amazonas: Aramango (05°43'52''S, 78°26'24''W), 2-VIII-2006, on Capsicum frutescens (1Ψ, 1ɗ); Bagua Grande, 2-VIII-2006, on C. frutescens (2Ψ). Cajamarca: San Ignacio — La Villa (05°08'34''S, 78°59'40''W), 4-VIII-2006, on S. americanum (2Ψ); San Ignacio — Barrio Nuevo (05°08'09''S, 79°03'08''W), 4-VIII-2006, on S. americanum (2Ψ).

Previous records. Antigua, Guadeloupe and Martinique.

Remarks. Females collected in this study have setae s4, Z4 and Z5 approximately 1.2, 1.3 and 1.3 times longer, respectively, than reported in the original description.
