nymphs can be collected in low order forested cold water Pennsylvania creeks, mostly commonly in northern and southwestern Pennsylvania; previous adult records were limited to two creeks in Potter and Westmoreland Counties ( Masteller 1996). Yugus kirchneri ranges in the Appalachians from Pennsylvania south to Virginia.
