Description. ♀. Fully winged; body length 1.9–3.7 mm. Testaceous, except petiole black and antennomeres 4–10 or 8–10 brown; occasionally pronotum with two lateral brown spots; occasionally metapectal-propodeal disc brown, or black, or darkened. Occasionally head black, except anterior region of frons, clypeus and mandible testaceous; mesosoma and metasoma totally black. Specimen from Madagascar, 21°15.05’S 47°24.43’E, testaceous-brown, except metapectal-propodeal disc black. In specimen from Madagascar, 21°15.99’S 47°25.21’E, MA-02-09C-63, head black, except mandible, clypeus and anterior region of frons testaceous; antenna yellow, except antennomeres 9–10 brown; mesosoma black, except lateral regions partly ferruginous; metasoma brown; legs yellow. In very large specimen (3.7 mm) from Madagascar, 21°17.24’S 47°26.00’E, BLF8397, head black, except mandible, clypeus, malar space, area between antennal toruli and part of ventral side yellow-testaceous; antenna testaceous, except antennomeres 5–10 darkened; mesosoma black; forewing completely darkened; metasoma brown; legs yellowtestaceous. Occasionally head and mesosoma reddish, except metapectal-propodeal disc black. Antenna clavate; antennomeres in following proportions: 8:4.5:5:5:5:5:5:5:5.5:9. Head shiny, more or less granulate, sculptured by numerous irregular slight longitudinal striae; frontal line absent; occipital carina complete; holotype with POL = 5; OL = 3; OOL = 4; OPL = 2.5; TL = 3. In ♀ from Madagascar, 21°15.05’S 47°24.43’E, POL = 4; OL = 2; OOL = 3; OPL = 2.5; TL = 2.5; greatest breadth of lateral ocelli about as long as OOL. In ♀ from Madagascar, 18°16’00’’S 45°24’24’’E, head reticulate rugose, with many slight longitudinal striae in front of anterior ocellus. In ♀ from Madagascar, 21°15.05’S 47°24.43’E, head rugose among ocelli and sculptured by irregular striae on sides of ocelli and on anterior half of frons, unsculptured in front of anterior ocellus. In specimen from Madagascar, 21°13.57’S 47°22.19’E, head completely unsculptured. Pronotum shiny, transversely striate; posterior surface flat, shorter than mesoscutum (6:13 or 8:10); pronotal tubercle reaching tegula. Mesoscutum, mesoscutellum and metanotum shiny, unsculptured. In specimen from Madagascar, 21°15.99’S 47°25.21’E, MA-02-09C-63, mesoscutum shiny, slightly granulate. In specimen from South Africa, 33°34.092’S 18°47.680’E, head completely granulate, not rugose. Notauli incomplete, reaching approximately 0.3–0.5 × length of mesoscutum. Metapectal-propodeal disc reticulate rugose, with strong transverse posterior keel; propodeal declivity reticulate rugose, without longitudinal keels. Forewing hyaline, without dark transverse bands (large black specimens from Madagascar, 21°17.24’S 47°26.00’E, with forewing completely darkened); distal part of 2r-rs&Rs vein much shorter than proximal part (2.5:10). Protarsomeres in following proportions: 5:2:3:6:14. In specimen from Madagascar, 21°15.05’S 47°24.43’E, protarsomeres in following proportions: 5:2:3:4.5:14. Enlarged claw ( Fig. 35A View FIGURE 35 ) with proximal prominence bearing one long bristle. Protarsomere 5 ( Fig. 35A View FIGURE 35 ) with two rows of approximately 50 lamellae; apex with about 3–4 lamellae; usually apex short. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.
