Aphelopus severancei Olmi, Copeland & Guglielmino 2015: 337 .

Description. ♀. Fully winged; body length 1.9–2.2 mm. Head brown, except mandible and anterior half of frons whitish (occasionally frons with only area between toruli whitish); antenna brown, except scape and pedicel testaceous; mesosoma and metasoma brown; legs yellow-testaceous. Antenna filiform; antennomeres in following proportions: 5:4:5:6:6:6:6:5:5:8. Head dull, granulate; frontal line absent; occipital carina complete; POL = 6; OL = 4; OOL = 3.5; OPL = 3; TL = 2.5; greatest breadth of lateral ocelli shorter than OPL (2.5:4). Mesoscutum, mesoscutellum and metanotum dull, granulate. Notauli incomplete, reaching about 0.4–0.5 × length of mesoscutum. Metapectal-propodeal disc and propodeal declivity reticulate rugose. Forewing hyaline, without dark transverse bands; 2r-rs&Rs vein regularly curved. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.

♂ ( Figs 17A, B View FIGURE 17 ). Fully winged; body length 1.5–2.4 mm. Head black, except mandible testaceous; antenna brown; mesosoma black; metasoma brown; legs brown. Antenna filiform; antennomeres in following proportions: 6:5:6.5:6.5:7:8:7:7:7:9. Head dull, granulate; frontal line shortly present near clypeus; occipital carina complete; POL = 7; OL = 4; OOL = 4; OPL = 4; TL = 4; greatest breadth of lateral ocelli shorter than OPL (2:4). Mesoscutum, mesoscutellum and metanotum dull, granulate. Notauli incomplete, reaching about 0.4–0.5 × length of mesoscutum. Metapectal-propodeal disc and propodeal declivity reticulate rugose. Forewing hyaline, without dark transverse bands; 2r-rs&Rs vein regularly curved. Basivolsella ( Fig. 13C View FIGURE 13 ) with lateral medial process and 2 subdistal bristles; distivolsella with 1 very long bristle ( Fig. 13C View FIGURE 13 ). Tibial spurs 1/1/2.
