Gonatopus chiruanus Olmi et al. 2012: 718 .
Description. ♀. Apterous; body length 3.1–3.9 mm. Head black, except mandible, clypeus, anterior region of frons (more along orbits) and part of ventral side testaceous; antenna brown, except antennomere 1 testaceous; prothorax black, except posterior margin of pronotum testaceous; mesoscutum testaceous-dark, except anterior and posterior surface black; rest of mesosoma black; metasoma brown; proleg brown, except tarsus testaceous; meso- and metaleg brown, except tarsomeres 1–4 testaceous. Antenna clavate; antennomeres in following proportions: 8:6:16:15: 14:12:10:9:7:8. Head excavated, dull, granulate; frontal line incomplete, absent on anterior third of frons; occipital carina absent; temple prominent, granulate and crossed by longitudinal keel; POL = 1; OL = 1; OOL = 7; greatest breadth of lateral ocelli about as long as POL. Palpal formula 4/2. Pronotum crossed by strong transverse impression, granulate. Mesoscutum very long, about 4 × as long as broad, dull, granulate. Mesoscutellum hardly visible, dull, granulate. Stalk between pronotum and metanotum composed of mesoscutum + mesoscutellum, more than 4 × as long as broad (19:4). Metanotum very long, granulate, not transversely striate, about coplanar to mesoscutellum. Metapectal-propodeal disc dull, completely granulate; propodeal declivity granulate, not transversely striate. Mesopleuron and metapleuron granulate, not transversely striate. Meso-metapleural suture distinct and complete. Protarsomeres in following proportions: 13:2.5:4:14:21. Enlarged claw ( Fig. 210C View FIGURE 210 ) with one small subapical tooth and one row of five peg-like setae + one bristle. Protarsomere 5 ( Fig. 210C View FIGURE 210 ) with one row of 10–14 lamellae; apex with about 10 lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/0/1.
♂. Fully winged; body length 1.9 mm. Head black, except mandible testaceous; antenna brown; mesosoma, metasoma and legs black. Antenna setose, filiform; antennomeres in following proportions: 4:4:5:5:5:5:5:4:4:7; antennomere 3 less than 3 × as long as broad: 5:2. Head dull, setose, granulate; frontal line complete; occipital carina absent; POL = 4; OL = 2; OOL = 4; greatest breadth of lateral ocelli about as long as OL. Vertex of head with two oval smooth, granulate areas situated between lateral ocelli and eyes (areas surrounded anteriorly by very high carina and posteriorly by lower carina not continuing on temple and behind ocellar triangle). Temple distinct, granulate, not crossed by carina. Palpal formula 4/2. Mesoscutum dull, granulate. Notauli complete, posteriorly separated; minimum distance between the notauli about 0.5 × as long as greatest breadth of lateral ocelli. Mesoscutellum and metanotum shiny, punctate, unsculptured among punctures. Metapectal-propodeal disc dull, slightly reticulate rugose, with areolae small, with median longitudinal furrow; propodeal declivity without longitudinal or transverse keels. Forewing hyaline, without dark transverse bands, with only costal cell surrounded by strongly pigmented veins (other basal cells surrounded by less pigmented veins); 2R1 cell open; 2r-rs&Rs vein regularly curved, with distal part longer than proximal part. Dorsal process of paramere absent; paramere with inner membranous band along entire length ( Fig. 219B View FIGURE 219 ). Tibial spurs 1/1/2.
