Gonatopus spiracularis (Benoit) : Olmi 1994c: 11; Guglielmino & Olmi 1997: 221; Azevedo et al. 2010: 900.

Description. ♀. Apterous; body length 3.0– 3.4 mm. Completely yellow-testaceous, except petiole black. Body shiny, bare, unsculptured. Head ( Fig. 175A View FIGURE 175 ) excavated. Palpal formula 4/2. Pronotum crossed by strong transverse impression. Mesoscutum without lateral pointed apophyses ( Fig. 175B View FIGURE 175 ). Metanotum about coplanar to mesoscutellum ( Fig. 175C View FIGURE 175 ), with sides protruding ( Fig. 175B View FIGURE 175 ); lateral protrusions of metanotum rounded ( Fig. 175B View FIGURE 175 ). Metapectal-propodeal disc with median longitudinal furrow; propodeal declivity transversely striate. Meso-metapleural suture distinct and complete. Mesopleuron and metapleuron transversely striate. Protarsomere 1 slightly shorter than 4 (13:14). Enlarged claw ( Fig. 176E View FIGURE 176 ) with one large subapical tooth and one row of seven lamellae. Protarsomere 5 ( Fig. 176E View FIGURE 176 ) with two rows of approximately 20 lamellae; apex with approximately 17 lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/0/1.

♂. Unknown.

Material examined. Types: ♀ holotype: MADAGASCAR: Toamasina, Brickaville , reared from Perkinsella saccharicida Kirkaldy, B. 3.VI.1961 , Sf. 3.VII.1961, M. Sigwalt reared ( MHNG). Paratypes: same locality label as holotype, Sf. III.1961, 1 ♀ ( MHNG); same locality label as holotype, Sf. 23.V.1961 , 1♀ ( MHNG); same locality label as holotype, 3.VI.1961 , 1♀ ( MRAC); same locality label as holotype, Sf. 31.VII.1961 , 1♀ ( MRAC) (accord- ing to the original description the type series is composed of 6 ♀♀) .

Hosts. Delphacidae ( Guglielmino et al. 2013) : in Madagascar: Perkinsiella saccharicida Kirkaldy.

Distribution. Madagascar.
