Description. ♀ ( Fig. 257C ). Apterous; body length 1.2–2.1 mm. Head black, except clypeus and mandible testa- ceous; antenna testaceous; mesosoma black, except lateral margin of apparent pronotum and distal extremity of propodeal declivity testaceous; metasoma brown, except distal extremity testaceous; legs testaceous, except club of profemur brown, metacoxa partly brown and meso- and metafemur darkened. Antenna ( Fig.257C ) clavate, thickened; antennomeres in following proportions: 9:2.5:1.5:3:3.5:3.5:3:3:3:7; antennomeres 1 and 10 longer than broad; antennomeres 3–9 broader than long or as long as broad (length/breadth ratio of antennomere 9 in lateral view: 3:3.5; antennomere 6 as broad as long: 3.5:3.5); antennomere 2 as long as broad; ADOs present in antennomeres 4– 10; antennal toruli contiguous with lateral margins of clypeus. Head rectangular in dorsal view ( Fig. 257C ), broader than long (21.5:19), shiny, covered with short and fine setae, finely punctate, unsculptured among punctures; vertex of head flat; frons very convex ( Fig. 258E ); eye ( Fig. 258E ) small, much shorter than head (4: 19 in dorsal view); ocelli absent; occipital carina distinct, complete on dorsal region of head, but incomplete on lateral regions of head; frontal line absent; clypeus with ventral margin rounded; temple very long, almost 3 × as long as eye (11:4); subocular sulcus absent. Palpal formula 2/2. Propleuron apparently mobile and articulated, hidden under apparent pronotum. Remaining regions of mesosoma completely fused with no sutures separating fused regions; laterally in- complete sutures visible (suture between apparent pronotum and mesothorax and meso-metapleural suture); above two sutures incomplete and partly visible on lateral regions of mesosoma. Mesosoma ( Fig. 257C ) shiny, covered with fine and short setae, finely punctate, unsculptured among punctures; mesosoma cylindric and divided into two regions (anterior flat dorsal region (corresponding to pronotum, mesonotum, metanotum and metapectal-propodeal disc) and posterior inclined region (corresponding to propodeal declivity)); in anterior dorsal region no sutures visible, except suture separating dorsal region from lateral regions (suture incomplete, being absent in anterior third of dorsal region (probably corresponding to pronotum)) ( Fig. 257C ); propodeal declivity completely surrounded by strong keel separating it from metapectal-propodeal disc and from lateral regions of mesosoma; anterior dorsal region and posterior inclined region completely unsculptured, except few transverse striae near apex of posterior region. Protarsomeres in following proportions: 8:2:2:6:9. Protarsomere 3 produced into hook. Enlarged claw ( Fig. 258G ) with three small teeth, 10 bristles and many setae on outer side. Protarsomere 5 ( Fig. 258G ) with two rows of 3 + 10 lamellae; apex with four lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/0/1.

Type: ♀ holotype: MADAGASCAR: Antsiranana, Marojejy National Park , 25.7 km 32° NNE Andapa, 10.3 km 314° NW Manantenina, 14°26.42’S 49°44.30’E, 1575 m, 21.XI.2003 , sifted litter (leaf mold, rotten wood), montane rainforest, B.L. Fisher leg., BLF 9242 ( CAS). Paratypes: MADAGASCAR: Toamasina, E of Maroantsetra, Antongil Bay, Ambodivoangy , lavage de terre, J. Vadon leg., IV.1959, 1 ♀ ( MRAC); same local- ity label, VIII.1959, 1 ♀ ( MRAC). Other material: Toamasina, Ambatovaky Special Reserve, Sandrangato River , 16°49.03’S 49°17.42’E, 360 m, 25–27.II.2010 , sifted litter rainforest, B.L. Fisher et al. leg., BLF24750 , 1♀ ( CAS); Toamasina, Akirindro Mt., 7.6 km 341° Ambinanitelo , 15°17.18’S 49°32.54’E, 600 m, 17–21.III.2003 , sifted litter/wood, Fisher , Griswold et al. leg., BLF 8250 , 1♀ ( MOLC) .
