REMARKS

The diagnosis refers to Rumphius’ (1747: 139) “Pissan utan”, which is not supported by a figure. The herbarium and types of Rumphius were almost completely destroyed in a fire ( Stafleu & Cowan 1983), and those of Luigi Aloysius Colla are at TO ( Stafleu & Cowan 1976), but the corresponding specimen does not exist. Since the name is not supported by an illustration, and we were not able to interpret the diagnosis, the name remains dubious. It has not been generally accepted.
