Diagnosis. Face with 1 brown concave near ventral margin. Leg yellow, tibiae with 1 brown circle near base (fore tibia with 1 semicircular, sometimes indistinctly), tarsi pale brown at apex. Male genitalia ( Figs. 66–70 View FIGURES 66–70 ): syntergosternite with a pair of long ventral process at ventral apex, with 1 broad sclerite opposite ventral process, 7 st spiracle outward distinctly.
Description. MALE. Body length 2.2 mm, wing length 2.8 mm. FEMALE. Body length 2.5 mm, wing length 3.1 mm.
Head ( Fig. 61 View FIGURES 61–65 ) pale yellow. Face yellow except brown on lateral and ventral margin, with 1 brown concave near ventral margin; parafacial with 1 circular brown spot on apical inner margin. Frons yellow with grayish white pruinescence, wider than long, trapeziform, anterior margin narrower than the posterior, with a pair of narrow brown median bands extending to ocellar triangle; ocellar triangle blackish gray, oc and or absent; oc each with 1 blackish brown basal spot. Gena about 1/5 eye height. Occiput with gray pruinescence. Antenna brownish yellow; 1 st flagellomere pale yellow basally, nearly 1.2 times longer than high; arista brown except yellow basally, pubescent. 1 brown triangular spot present between antenna and eye. Proboscis pale yellow, with yellow and black hairs; palpus brown with black hairs.
Thorax ( Fig. 64 View FIGURES 61–65 ) brown, with grayish yellow pruinescence. Mesonotum with 1 narrow brown median band extending from anterior margin to anterior of 3st post-sutural dc, postpronotum with posterior margin surrounded by 1 thin brown band; 1+3 dc, 1st post-sutural dc near transverse scutal suture, presutural dc closer to anterior margin than presutural acr; 1+3 acr, in 2 rows; prescutellar acr absent; dc seta and acr each with 1 brown basal spot. Anepisternum and katepisternum with gray pruinescence, anepisternum with 2 brown spots near dorsal margin, 1 brown spot near ventral margin, 2 anpest (the strongest one near posterior margin) and 3–4 short hairs; 2 kepst. Leg yellow, femora pale brown except pale yellow at apex, tibiae with 1 brown circle near base (fore tibia with 1 semicircular, sometimes indistinctly), tarsi pale brown at apex. Fore femur with 5 pd, 4 pv; fore tibia with 1 long dp, 2 short apv. Mid femur with 5 a, 1 app; mid tibia with 1 strong dp, 1 strong apv. Hind femur with 3 apv on apical half, 1 preapical ad; hind tibia with 1 dp, 1 short apv. Wing ( Fig. 62 View FIGURES 61–65 ) with anterior margin brown, along posterior margin grayish white gradually, with circular or irregular hyaline spots, hyaline spots forming 2 hyaline bands along r-m and R 2+3 extending to posterior margin, 1 brown band along dm-cu extending from anterior margin to posterior margin between the two hyaline bands, the brown band with 2 hyaline spots on r 1 cell and with 2 thin hyaline spots on both sides of dm-cu, hyaline apical spots present between R 4+5 and M 1+2; subcostal cell brown; costa with 2nd, 3rd and 4th sections in proportion of 7.4: 2.4: 1.5; r-m beind middle of discal cell; ultimate and penultimate sections of M 1 in proportion of 5.7: 2.6; ultimate section of CuA 1 about 1/5 of penultimate section. Halter pale yellow except knob black brown.
Abdomen ( Fig. 65 View FIGURES 61–65 ) blackish brown, with grayish white pruinescence; tergites 2–6 each with 6 pairs of posterior margin seta on pale yellow basal spots, with 1 row blackish brown spots on middle irregularly. Male genitalia ( Figs. 66–70 View FIGURES 66–70 ): syntergosternite with a pair of long ventral process at ventral apex, with 1 broad sclerite opposite ventral process, 7 st spiracle outward distinctly. Epandrium broad, ventral apical angle with setae. Surstylus unobvious. Hypandrium H-shaped with a pair of inner process. Gonopod tubiform, strong apically, with 4 long hairs. Aedeagus slender, consist of 1 thin V-shaped ventral sclerite and a pair of slender ventral sclerites. Aedeagus without distinct apical concave. Aedeagal apodeme tubiform, as long as 1/2 length of aedeagus.
Type material. Holotype ( HAUST): 1 ♂, CHINA, Yunnan: Yingjiang, Xima, 2012. V. 4, Wenliang Li . Paratype ( HAUST): 1 ♀, CHINA, Yunnan: data same as holotype .
Distribution. China (Yunnan).
Remarks. The new species is very similar to Trypetisoma (Trypaneoides) japonicus (Shatalkin, 1998) from the Palaearctic region, but the latter abdomen whole black; the new species tergites 2–6 with blackish brown posterior margin spots, and 1 row blackish brown thin spots on middle irregularly.
