Stenocoris Burmeister 1839 View in CoL
Stenocoris southwoodi Ahmad 1965 View in CoL is a rice pest that occurs in Africa ( Ahmad 1965; Hill 2008; Pathak and Khan 1994). Stenocoris southwoodi View in CoL was reported from South America by Pathak and Khan (1994), but this may be an error, as others say that this species is restricted to tropical Africa ( Ahmad 1965; Hill 2008). It also feeds on developing kernels and causes damage similar to that of the Leptocorisa species in Asia.
