Anhoraeomorphus longicollis (Franz) , comb. n.

Remarks. The holotype (the only known specimen) is deposited in Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle, Paris and was not available for my study. Characters described and illustrated by Franz include the aedeagus with a pair of elongate distolateral endophallic sclerites accompanied by median proximal assemblage of asymmetrical structures, and male metatibiae broadened in distal third, which are typical of Anhoraeomorphus . According to Franz (1986b), A. longicollis is most similar to A. diegoi . Judging from the aedeagus of A. longicollis illustrated in Franz (1986b): fig. 141), and that of A. diegoi studied here, these two names may be synonyms. Re-mounting and examination of the aedeagus of the holotype of A. longicollis is necessary to verify this view, but currently the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle does not issue loans of type specimens.

Distribution. Northern Madagascar (Analanjirofo Region).
