Diagnosis. Scutum with one pair of dark acrostichal stripes, dark dorsocentral stripes divided by the transverse suture, dark postalar stripe absent; scutellum slightly longer than wide, triangular dark brown stripe reaching the apex; ocellar triangle dark mesally; anepisternum and katepisternum with a dark mark; tibiae and fore tarsus brown.

Description. Body length 3.8 mm; wing length 3.4 mm; dark brown to yellow body pilosity. Head ( Fig. 38). Yellow; ocellar triangle yellow, with the mesal part dark brown, reaching to about ¾ of apex of frons; occiput entirely yellow; ocellar setae reclinate and convergent; postocellar as long as the outer vertical setae, cruciate; interfrontal setulae indistinct; vibrissa slightly distinct, yellow, as long as the genal pilosity; antenna dark yellow; postpedicel rounded; 1 st aristomere yellow, remaining arista dark, with short and sparse pilosity; palpus yellow; proboscis dark yellow. Thorax ( Figs. 37; 39). Scutum yellow with black longitudinal stripes, acrostichal (mesal) stripe complete and bifid, dorsocentral stripe (inner) divided by the transverse suture, intra-alar (outer) stripe absent; postpronotum completely yellow; scutellum yellow, 1.5 times longer than wide dorsally, with a triangular dark brown stripe almost reaching the apex of the scutellum; subscutellum brown; pleuron yellow, anepisternum with a large black mark; 1 + 2 notopleural setae; legs yellow, tibiae and fore tarsus dark brown; tibia yellow, organ reaching less than half of hind tibia length. Wing. Hyaline; tegula with dark brown setulae; costal sectors 1–4: 4, 4, 3.5, 1.5; halter yellow.

Abdomen. Syntergite 1+2 yellow, remaining tergites dark brown dorsally; sternites yellow. Female terminalia ( Figs. 42–43). Segments 6–8 narrow; epiproct bare, with a pair of setae; hypoproct pilose; cerci brown, long and narrow. Male terminalia. Unknown.

Etymology. The specific epithet ‘ longitriangularis ’ is derived from Latin, meaning long triangle. It refers to a long triangular mark on scutellum.

Distribution. Brazil (Amazonas, Maranhão, Rondônia, Roraima, Tocantins).

Comments. Some paratypes have a brown mark on anepisternum and katepisternum.
