Body colour ranges from light brown to brown ( Figure 3a View FIGURE 3 ). The inner lobe of the paraproct is much longer than the middle lobe ( Figure 3b View FIGURE 3 ). The species is widespread in West Asia ( Mohammadian 2008; Teslenko & Zhiltzova, 2009; Darilmaz, Salur, Murányi, and Vinçon 2016, Cherchesova, Shapovalov, Mamaev, & Palatov 2023; Murányi, Manko, Kováks, Vinçon, & Žiak 2023). It emerges during late spring and summer from streams 900 to 1200 m asl (Cherchesova, Shapovalov, Mamaev, & Palatov 2023; Murányi, Manko, Kováks, Vinçon, & Žiak 2023).
