Vespertilio evotis H. Allen, 1864 View in CoL
Allen, H. (1864) Monograph of bats of North America. Smithsonian Miscellaneous Collections, 7 (165): 48 [1–85].
Valid name: Myotis evotis (H. Allen, 1864)
Paralectotype: ZMB 2996 View Materials , body in alcohol, skull extracted, male; Cape St. Lucas, California, USA; ex USNM.
Comment: Lyon & Osgood (1909: 290) designated a specimen in the USNM as a lectotype for this species. ZMB 2996 View Materials presumably originates from the type series. The type locality according to Allen (1864: 49) is the Pacific coast from Puget Sound to Lower California .
