Valid name: Carollia perspicillata (Linnaeus, 1758)

Syntype: ZMB 2647 View Materials , skin, skull not extracted, female, adult; Mexico; collected by Saussure.

Comment: The type locality was fixed to Veracruz, Pérez by Dalquest (1950) .
