Syntypes: ZMB 375 View Materials , skin (in very poor condition) without skull, female . ZMB 2496 View Materials , body in alcohol, skull extracted (fragments), female . ZMB 24922, skull and skeleton, male . ZMB 24927, skull and skeleton, female. All specimens from Sena, Mozambique; collected by W.C.H. Peters, between 1843 and 1847 .
