Lectotype ( Andersen 1912: 247 for ZMB 4752 View Materials ) or Syntypes: ZMB 4701 View Materials , body in alcohol, skull extracted, female; Kai Ids., Indonesia; collector: no information available. ZMB 4752 View Materials , skull, male; Great Kai , Indonesia; collected by von Rosenberg, 1865, in exchange from RMNH.
Comment: According to Jentink (1888: 143), syntypes of P.keyensis were originally from Great and Little Kai, collected by von Rosenberg in 1865, represented by ZMB 4752 from Great Kai. ZMB 4701 was collected either by Beccari (with a question mark behind the collectors name on the old label, however contra Matschie 1899: 14) or by von Rosenberg. Andersen (1912: 247) identified ZMB 4752 as “type”, which may be considered as lectotype designation. According to Jentink (1888: 143) the RMNH holds further syntype specimens.
