Genus HEMIBERLESIA Cockerell, 1897 View in CoL View at ENA
Genus diagnosis. Adult female pyriform; median lobes (L 1) prominent and well developed; second and third lobes (L 2 & L 3), when present, reduced to sclerotized points. Paraphyses present, sometimes very robust. Dorsal marginal setae sometimes thickened. Fringed plates well developed, as long as or longer than lobes, present between lobes and sometimes lateral to each third lobes. Anal opening large, rounded oval, usually situated less than twice its diameter from pygidial apex. Dorsal macroducts quite slender, often 1 duct present between median lobes, and between other lobes; submarginal ducts arranged in intersegmental rows or poriferous furrows between segments.
