Diagnosis. This species is superficially similar to A. patulella Walker , with similar forewing markings, but can be distinguished by the male genitalia with a long, narrow, strongly curved process in the left valva and the palmate scales with short stalks.

Male genitalia ( Figs. 8, 8a–b ). The illustration of the male genitalia given by Li & Zheng (1998, Fig. 268) is a line-drawing and thus they are re-illustrated here with detailed photos. The phallus is flattened in the distal portion as shown in figure 8.

Material examined. 4♂, Tad Leuk Waterfall , Bolikhamsai Prov. 18°23'N, 103°04'E, 206 m, 10 xi 2015, Bae et al., gen. slide no. CIS-6730, -6731, -6901.

Distribution. Laos (first record), China (Yunnan).
