Diagnosis. The new species can be distinguished in the male genitalia by the valva with a spicate rod-like process arising from before middle below the costa, the juxta with small spine posterolaterally, and the aedeagus with dense spines arranged in semicircle distally.
Description. Adult ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 1–8 ). Wingspan 19.0 mm.
Head yellow. Labial palpus in male yellow, basal half of first and second palpomeres with brown scales on outer surface. Antenna dark brown on dorsal surface, yellow on ventral surface.
Thorax. Mesonotum and tegula dark brown. Forewing dark brown; fringe brown except yellow at base. Hindwing and fringe dark brown. Legs yellow, with exceptions on ventral surface: coxa of foreleg dark brown, coxa of midleg with grayish brown scales; on dorsal surface, femur of foreleg black, tibia dark brown, femur and tibia of midleg grayish brown, tarsi of fore- and midlegs dark brown at base of first tarsomere; hindleg with brown scales.
Male genitalia ( Fig.15 View FIGURES 13–16 ). Uncus conical, tapered from wide base to narrowly rounded apex.Gnathos membranous, narrow, circular. Valva wide basally, slightly narrower distally, apex obtusely rounded, with a spicate rod-like process arising from before middle below costa, obliquely extending inward; costa narrowed distally, not reaching dorsoapex of valva, with small triangular process at base. Sacculus slightly longer than 1/3 length of valva, narrowed from wide base to 1/2, then parallel to apex, with a process ventroapically. Saccus with basal 2/5 uniformly wide, slightly narrowed from basal 2/5 to rounded apex. Juxta short, horseshoe-shaped, with small posterolateral spine at each side. Aedeagus slightly longer than valva, basal 1/4 slender, rod-like, wider medially; distal 1/3 uniform, with spines along margins, with many layers of spines arranged in semicircle from before apex to apex; apex broadly rounded, with a line of small spines along margin.
Female unknown.
Distribution. China (Fujian).
Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin spiculosus, referring to the spicate process of the valva.
