Records from the study area: Karnataka—Cook (1967); Prasad (1974).

Remarks: Lundblad (1969) did not feel certain about the locality of his specimens, they were either from Calcutta (West Bengal) or Colombo ( Sri Lanka).

Habitat: Ponds.

Distribution: India, Sri Lanka, Burma.
