Type : MEXICO. San Luis Potosí: 6000–8000 feet, 1878, Parry & Palmer 299 (holotype K!, isotypes GH, MO!). Homotypic synonym: Vesalea coriacea (Hemsl.) K.Tim & B.Sun ex Landrein (2010: 38) .
Distribution: Mexico (Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí).
