Diagnosis. Males of Stenoterommata pavesii sp. nov. differ from those other congeners by the male palpal bulb with wider and ventrally curved embolus ( Figs 7, 9 View FIGURES 7 – 16 ). Females resemble those of S. uruguai Goloboff, 1995 , S. quena Goloboff, 1995 , S. arnolisei Indicatti et al., 2008 , S. grimpa Indicatti et al., 2008 and S. gugai sp. nov. by the spermathecae with wider basal dome ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 7 – 16 ). It can be distinguished from the abovementioned species by the triangular basal dome in frontal view ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 7 – 16 ) and shorter ducts of the receptacula ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 7 – 16 ).
Etymology. The specific name is a patronym in honor of Mário Pavesi, who has worked towards the conservation of the Parque Nacional da Serra do Itajaí in the Nova Russia region, Blumenau, state of Santa Catarina, Brazil.
