Etymology. The species name is a Latin noun ( terebra = a borer) used in apposition.
Type material. Holotype ♂, PHILIPPINES, Mindanao I., Bukidnon Prov, 1250 m, Mt Katanglad , 26.X.1959, light trap, L. Quate & C. Yoshimoto ( BPBM # 111,957 About BPBM ).
Additional material examined. EAST MALAYSIA, SARAWAK, Gunong Nat. Park , 1 ♂ ( BMNH). Distribution. Philippines ( Mindanao Island ), North Borneo, West Malaysia .
