Nomenclatural notes: — Majumdar (1965: 189) indicated a G. Watt’s collection from Kohima (housed at CAL) as a “provisional” lectotype for the name Sagina japonica . However, this CAL specimen is clearly not part of the original material and Majumdar’s typification cannot be considered as correct (see Arts. 9.3 and 9.4 of Shenzhen Code; Turland et al. 2018).
