The backbone of the arrangement in this family is based on the barcode data available for three of the species, as the genus present in Britain is morphologically rather homogeneous. The placement of Zora armillata is based on its morphological similarity to Z. spinimana , implied in the determination keys presented by Urones (2005) and by Wunderlich in Heimer & Nentwig (1991). Of course, this is a rather weak argument, as these keys are intended as pragmatic aids to identification, not as statements of phylogenetic hypotheses.
