Distribution in Iran. Guilan, Tehran ( Farahani et al. 2015), Iran (no specific locality) ( Telenga 1941; Shenefelt 1975; Tobias 1986; Fallahzadeh & Saghaei 2010; Papp 2011–2012), Kerman (Abdolalizadeh et al. 2017).
General distribution. Palaearctic. China, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan ( Yu et al. 2012), Russia ( Shenefelt 1975; Tobias 1986 as Rogas nocturnus ), Switzerland (van Achterberg 2014) , Tunisia ( Papp 2014), Turkey ( Yu et al. 2012; Papp 2014; Beyarslan 2015).
Hosts. Lepidoptera—Erebidae: Euproctis karghalica (Moore, 1878) ( Yu et al. 2012) . Noctuidae : Helicoverpa armigera (Hübner, 1808) ; Helicoverpa zea (Boddie, 1850) on Gossypium hirsutum ( Yu et al. 2012) . Notodontidae : Cerura menciana Moore, 1877 ; C. vinula (Linnaeus, 1758) ; Harpyia hermelina (Stephens, 1829) ( Yu et al. 2012) . Nymphalidae : Polygonia c-album (Linnaeus, 1758) ( Yu et al. 2012) .
