Mesochorus gracilentus BRISCHKE 1880: 188 View in CoL f. Holotypus (3) verloren (nach der Beschreibung aus der Umgebung von Danzig = Gdansk/PL), Art uninterpretiert.

SCHMIEDEKNECHT (1910: 1988 ff.) stellt diese Art als Varietät zu M. confusus View in CoL (= M. cimbicis View in CoL ), und SCHWENKE (1999: 87) synonymisiert beide Taxa ohne Einschränkung. Diese Interpretation kann nicht korrekt sein, weil die Beschreibung der Art von M. cimbicis View in CoL deutlich abweicht (bei M. gracilentus Gaster View in CoL schwarz, nur Hinterrand des zweiten und dritten Tergits gelb). M. gracilentus View in CoL wird deshalb hier als eigene uninterpretierte Art aufgefasst.
