Material examined. IRAN, Esfahan, 7.xii.1962, 4 oviparous females, 1 male, from Prunus sp., (Remaudiere) MNHN (EH) 17554 and 17553.

Oviparous female (two measurements refer to left and right sides of four specimens) ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 a; Table 1). Color of live specimens unknown; mounted specimens: body yellowish with spinal tubercles, plates and sclerites brown. Head brown, antennae yellowish with dark apices of segm. III–VI; segm. I and II brown. Legs light brown, hind femora light brown with darker knee area, tibiae light brown with darker ends, tarsi brown. Siphuncular sclerites, subgenital plate and cauda brown. Body pear-shaped. Antennae ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 b) 6-segmented, medium sized, reaching to segm. II of thorax, 0.33–0.36 times body length. Terminal process (VIb) 2.150–2.160 times base (VIa); other antennal ratios: VIb:III 0.278–0.302, VI:III 0.410–0.441, V:III 0.574–0.604, IV:III 0.448–0.490. Antennal chaetotaxy: segm. I with 6 setae, segm. II with 7–8 setae, segm. III with 13–16 setae, segm. IV with 10–11 setae, segm V with 11–12 setae, VIa with 6–7 setae, VIb with 2 apical and 3 subapical setae; setae on ant. segm. I–VIa slightly forked. Length of antennal setae at most equal to the width of segments; the longest antennal seta III 0.730–0.750 times basal articular diameter of this segment. Ant. segm. III with 0–1 secondary rhinarium, segm. IV with 1–2 round secondary rhinaria, without sclerotic rosette. Primary rhinaria on segm. V and VI slightly oval with small sclerotic rosette. Segm. VI with 4 slightly ciliated accessory rhinaria. Rostrum long, reaching abd. segm. V; apical segment of rostrum (ARS) blunt with button-shaped apical part, with 6 secondary hairs ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 c), 0.46–0.48 times ant. segm. III and 0.840–0.846 times segment II of hind tarsus (HT II). Hind femora wider than tibiae. Hind tibiae 1.53–1.57 body length, not thickened, without pseudosensoria. Hind tarsus with 8–9 setae on the ventral side of first segment ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 d). Dorsum with faint irregular sculpture ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 e) and system of tubercles, plates and sclerites. Thorax with 3 pairs and abdomen with 5 pairs of brown spinal tubercles. Spinal tubercles with irregular surface sculpture and 1–4 slightly forked apical setae ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 f). Abd. segm. VII and VIII with 2 pairs of spinal plates. Abdomen dorsally with small sclerites in irregular shape and location. Siphunculi porous. Siphuncular sclerite covered with slightly forked setae ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 g). Subgenital plate oval, larger than in apterous viviparous female, with ill-defined edge. Cauda broadly rounded, not well developed, covered with long sharp setae ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 h).

Measurements of 1 specimen MNHN (EH) 17554 (in mm): (body: 4.250, ant.: 1.430, ant. segm. (III–VI): 0.470:0.220:0.260:(0.131+0.0.062), ARS: 0.21, HT II: 0.25.

Apterous male (two measurements refer to left and right sides of the sole specimen) ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 a, Table 2). Color of live specimens unknown; mounted specimen: body yellowish with spinal tubercles, plates and sclerites light brown. Head dark brown, antennae yellowish, ant. segm. I and II brown. Hind legs light brown, hind femora yellowish-brown with dark apices, knees brown, tibiae yellowish-brown with dark apices, tarsi brown. Siphuncular sclerites light brown, cauda and genitalia brown. Body elongate oval, slightly egg-shaped. Frons flat with distinct epicranial suture, covered with slightly forked setae. Antennae ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 b) medium sized, reaching to hind coxae, 0.47 times body length. VIb 2.3 times VIa; other antennal ratios: VIb:III 0.36, VI:III 0.15, V:III 0.65, IV:III 0.55. Antennal chaetotaxy: segm. I with 5–6 setae, segm. II with 7–8 setae, segm. III with 13–16 setae, segm. IV with 11 setae, segm. V with 11–12 setae; VIa with 8 setae, VIb with 2 apical and 3 subapical setae; the longest antennal hair III as long as basal articular diameter of this segment. Primary rhinaria on ant. segm. V and VI without sclerotic rosette, slightly oval. VIa with 6 slightly ciliated accesory rhinaria. Mesosternum with two separate, smooth processes ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 c). Rostrum long, reaching cauda, ARS short and blunt with 8 secondary hairs ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 d), 0.75 times ant. segm. III and 0.87 times HT II. Hind legs strongly elongated. Hind femora wider than tibiae. Setae on tibiae short, slightly forked, never longer than width of tibiae. Hind tarsus ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 e) with 8 setae on the ventral side of first segment. Dorsal side of the body with a system of tubercles, plates and sclerites. Thorax with 3 pairs of spinal tubercles. Abdomen with 5 pair of big brown spinal tubercles and small spinal, pleural and marginal sclerites. Surface of spinal tubercles with irregular sclerotic sculpture and 2–4 slightly forked setae. Siphunculi porous. Siphuncular sclerite oval with pointed setae on the apical part ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 f). Cauda broadly rounded, not well developed, covered with sharp, long setae. Parameres located above basal part of phallus, separated, lobate, covered numerous sharp setae of variable length. Basal part of phallus sclerotized, oval paddle-shaped, covered with short, sharp setae ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 g).

Measurements of specimen MNHN (EH) 17553 (in mm): body: 2.550, ant.: 1.200, ant. segm. (III–VI): 0.380:0.210:0.250:(0.140+0.060), ARS: 0.210, HT II: 0.300.
