1.2.2. Curtonotum striatifrons View in CoL species-group

Species included: 3 (Afrotropical).

Synapomorphies: Sternite 6 with pair of divergent medial setae (24), basiphallus only partially fused to phallapodeme (31), distiphallus distinctly recurved (38) and lateral wing of basiphallus forming a distinct basally expanded, but narrow blade (43). Tsacas (1977) recognised a striatifrons species-group, comprising C. herrero Tsacas , C. maculiventris (Enderlein) (as C. tigrinum Séguy ) and C. striatifrons Malloch. As attested by the abovementioned synapomorphies, they are here regarded as being sufficiently distinct to warrant inclusion in a speciesgroup of their own.
