Subgenus: Thao Tsuneki, 1982 e: 33. Type species: Crossocerus nitidicorpus Tsuneki, 1968 View in CoL , by original designation and monotypy.
Diagnosis. Mandible tridentate, inner margin without tooth; pronotal collar with ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 9–11 ) or without trace of median notch; mesopleuron without precoxal denticle ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 9–11 ); tergum II with large round hollow depression at the base ( Figs 2 View FIGURES 1–3 & 13 View FIGURES 12–15 ); pygidial plate a narrow, isosceles triangle ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 12–15 ), smooth, slightly depressed dorsally ( Tsuneki 1982; Leclercq 2009).
