Other material examined. Thailand: 1♂ (abdomen missing), Doi Suthep-Pui , Chiang Mai, 1440 m, 22– 23.IX.1986, leg. G.S. Robinson.
Diagnosis. The new species can be distinguished from its congeners in the male genitalia by the bilobed gnathos, and the tegumen with a fine digitate process at anterior 1/3 laterally; in the female genitalia by the nailshaped lamella antevaginalis widened posteriorly and the lamella postvaginalis horizontally extended as a narrow, sclerotized band anteriorly.
Description. Adult ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1–8 ). Forewing length 4.0–5.0 mm.
Head. Vertex and frons white. Labial palpus with second segment yellow except white at apex; third segment white basally, yellow distally. Antennal scape white on dorsal surface except brown apically, pale greyish brown on ventral surface; flagellum black alternating with white dorsally, dark brown ventrally.
Thorax. Mesonotum and tegula yellow. Forewing yellow, becoming pale ochreous yellow distally; three white fasciae evenly spaced in basal 3/5: basal fascia from dorsum extending to base of fold; antemedian fascia extending from middle of dorsum oblique inward to basal 1/4 of costal margin, parallel with basal fascia, anterior 1/2 widened triangularly; postmedian fascia from before tornus extending to basal 3/5 of costal margin; ill-defined white patch with dense yellow scales beyond postmedian fascia anteriorly; apical spot white, very small; fringe yellow, with a line of ochreous yellow scales at basal 1/3 and at distal 1/3 around apex respectively, with sparse black scales extending along termen to tornus. Hindwing and fringe grey, mixed with yellow. Foreleg ochreous brown mixed with black scales dorsally, ochreous brown except femur white ventrally, tibia with white spot at base and middle, with a tuft of white scales at apex, tarsus white at apices of basal two tarsomeres, on entire fourth tarsomere, at base of apical tarsomere; midleg white ventrally, femur and tibia ochreous yellow dorsally, tibia with a white spot at base, with a cluster of white scales at apex, tarsus black except white at apices of basal two tarsomeres, on entire fourth tarsomere, and at base of apical tarsomere; hindleg brown, tarsus with basal three tarsomeres black dorsally, white apically, distal two tarsomeres white.
Male genitalia ( Fig. 34 View FIGURES 34–39 ). Uncus elongate, slightly shrunk beyond middle, rounded apically. Gnathos bilobed, each lobe with basal 1/2 uniformly wide, narrowed from middle to pointed apex. Tegumen with a deep anterior emargination, with a fine digitate process at anterior 1/3 laterally. Valva lanceolate, broadened medially, with a semicircular area of dense setae in distal 1/2 ventrally; apex oblique inward, produced dorsoapically; costa convex medially, with sparse setae along distal 2/5. Saccus slightly shorter than uncus, wide at base, narrowed to apex. Juxta short, V-shaped. Phallus slightly shorter than valva, straight; cornutus absent.
Female genitalia ( Fig. 67 View FIGURES 67–72 ). Apophyses anteriores 1/4 length of apophyses posteriores. Eighth sternum serrate on posterior margin, concave at middle. Lamella postvaginalis elongate, slightly narrowed to furcate posterior margin, anteriorly with a sclerotized narrow lateral band extending horizontally outward; lamella antevaginalis nailshaped, widened toward serrate posterior margin, triangularly produced outward posterolaterally. Ductus bursae membranous, posterior 1/2 uniform, anterior 1/2 narrower. Corpus bursae elongate ovate, membranous, approx. 2 times length of ductus bursae; signum a narrow plate with several tiny denticles.
Distribution. Thailand.
Etymology. The specific epithet is named after the late Dr. Gaden Robinson, the collector of the holotype.
