( Figs 21 View FIGURES 17–23 , 54 View FIGURES 52–57 , 77 View FIGURES 73–78 )

Type material. Thailand: Holotype ♂, Doi Suthep-Pui , Chiang Mai, 1440 m, 22–23.IX.1986, leg. G.S. Robinson, slide No. NHMUK010316978 About NHMUK .

Paratypes. Thailand: 1♀, 1300 m, 20.IX.1986, other same data as holotype, slide No. NHMUK010317033 About NHMUK ; 1♀, Doi Suthep-Pui , NP, Chiang Mai, 1540 m, 31.V.1989, leg. I.J. Kitching & A.M. Cotton, slide No. NHMUK010316980 About NHMUK .

Other material examined. 1♀, without labels, slide No. NHMUK010317194.

Diagnosis. The new species is similar to P. pedata Wang, 2021 in male genitalia. It can be distinguished by the spatulate mesial plate of the gnathos rounded at apex and the strong juxta slightly narrowed to a V-shaped apex. In P. pedata , the narrow triangular mesial plate of the gnathos is pointed at apex and the uniformly narrow juxta has a pediform apex produced straightly and leftward.

Description. Adult ( Fig. 21 View FIGURES 17–23 ). Forewing length 5.0– 6.5 mm.

Head. Vertex rust brown, with white scales laterally; frons greyish brown; occiput rust brown. Labial palpus with second segment rust brown mixed with black scales on outer surface, pale yellow on inner surface; third segment black, white apically. Antennal scape snowy white on dorsal surface, grey on ventral surface; flagellum black, alternating with white on dorsal surface.

Thorax. Mesonotum and tegula ochreous brown. Forewing pale orange yellow, dark ochreous brown between fold and dorsum; markings white edged with black scales: costal spot sub-triangular, concave medially on outer margin, sinuate on inner margin, extending from distal 1/3 to above posterior angle of cell; basal streak from dorsum oblique inward to base of fold; antemedian streak from middle of dorsum to basal 2/5 of anterior margin of cell, slightly arched outward, widened anteriorly; dorsal streak from distal 1/4 oblique outward to below and before posterior angle of cell; tornal spot small, with black scales from above it diffused to end of dorsal streak; apical patch ovate, indistinctly interrupted by black scales; fringe brownish yellow except grey around tornus. Hindwing and fringe grey. Fore- and midlegs black except fore femur and midleg brown ventrally, tibia with white dot at base and middle, with a tuft of white scales at apex, tarsus white at apices of basal two tarsomeres; hindleg yellow ventrally, black dorsally, tarsus white at apices of basal four tarsomeres and on entire apical tarsomere.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 54 View FIGURES 52–57 ). Uncus campanulate, basal 2/3 wide and subparallel, sclerotized laterally, distal 1/3 sclerotized, abruptly narrowed to pointed apex. Gnathos slightly longer than uncus; mesial plate short, spatulate, rounded apically, with squamous protuberances; basal arm broad sub-rectangular basally, narrowed toward mesial plate. Tegumen furcate from posterior 3/5, with a triangular anterior emargination; lateral arm slightly narrowed to rounded anterior end. Valva broad at base, narrowed to apex, produced into a setose, beak-shaped distal process slightly bent inward; costa narrowly band-like, as long as distal process of valva; sacculus band-like, wide at base, narrowed to base of distal process of valva. Saccus short, sub-semicircular, rounded on anterior margin. Juxta heavily sclerotized, reaching distal 1/3 of uncus, bilobed distally, each lobe with several apical spines; basal lobe very short, digitate. Phallus slightly longer than juxta, lanceolate and finely serrate distally; cornutus absent.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 77 View FIGURES 73–78 ). Apophyses posteriores more than 2 times length of apophyses anteriores. Lamella postvaginalis sub-trapezoidal, deeply incised in middle on posterior margin, laterally with a wide band directed vertically downward, edged with serration. Ductus bursae with posterior 3/5 sclerotized, uniform, anterior 2/5 membranous, slightly inflated. Corpus bursae longer than ductus bursae, ovoid, granulate; signum being an ovate plate bearing large and small denticles.

Distribution. Thailand.

Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin campanulatus, referring to the bell-shaped uncus of the male genitalia.
