Genus DOLORIA Skogsberg, 1920 View in CoL
The genus Doloria is subdivided into two subgenera on the basis of the structure of the fifth limb. Doloria (Doloria) includes D. (Doloria) levis (type-species) and D. (Doloria) sarsi and show the 4th and 5th exopodite segments of fifth limb fused and armed with only 2 bristles, and the lobes of 3rd segment with 2+2 bristles. Doloria (Dolorietta) subgen. nov., includes 9 species: D. (Dolorietta) antarctica sp. nov. (type species), D. (Dolorietta) pectinata , D. (Dolorietta) levinsoni , D. (Dolorietta) septenaria , D. (Dolorietta) isaacsi , D. (Dolorietta) mawsoni , D. (Dolorietta) sextafiliformis sp. nov., D. ( Dolorietta ) sp. nov. 1 and D. ( Dolorietta ) sp. nov. 2. in which the 5th segment of the fifth limb may or may not be fused to the 4th segment; these segments carry a total of 5–9 bristles. The lobes of the 3rd segment of the fifth limb have 2+3 bristles. In addition the species of these two subgenera differ in: (1) the number of the filaments on sensory bristle of the 5th segment of the antennula; (2) the number of bristles on the epipodite of the appendage of the 5th segment and on the 4th endite of sixth limb.
