Distribution. South Europe, Ukraine, South European Russia, Canary Islands, North Africa, Israel, Syria, Asian Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, India (Uttar Pradesh), Oriental region, introduced to Neotropical Region ( Knížek 2011b; Alonso-Zarazaga et al. 2017, 2023); reported by Stark (1952) from Caucasus and by Arnoldi et al. (1955) also from Transcaucasia without country data. Armenia: reported by Vinogradov-Nikitin & Zaitzev (1926) from Ayrum (Lori Province), by Mirzoian (1954, 1977) from Meghri (Syunik Province) and by Iablokoff-Khnzorian (1976) as distributed everywhere in the territories of growing of pistachio.
