Distribution. West Europe to Scandinavian and Baltic countries, Moldavia, Ukraine, European Russia, West Siberia, Canary Islands, Azores, Madeira, North Africa, Cyprus, Asian Turkey, China, Japan; introduced to Afrotropical, Australian, Nearctic and Neotropical Regions ( Knížek 2011b; Alonso-Zarazaga et al. 2017, 2023); reported by Arnoldi et al. (1955) and by Nikitsky & Izhevsky (2005) from Caucasus and Transcaucasia without country data. Armenia: reported by Zaitzev (1950) without distribution data and by Mirzoian (1977) from North Armenia.
Hosts. Pinus .
Note. As Hylurgus longulus Kolenati, 1846 described from “regione sic dicta Shamlogh, Territorii Airum, Montis Kaepes-Dagh, povincieae Transcaucasiae Elisabethpol” ( Kolenati, 1846) (currently in Armenia: Ayrum, Tavush Province).
