Distribution. Azores, Canary Islands, Madeira, South Europe, Ukraine, South European Russia, Malta, North Africa, European and Asian Turkey, Israel, Azerbaijan, Iran, China, Taiwan, North India, South Korea, Japan, as well as all other zoogeographical regions ( Knížek 2011b; Alonso-Zarazaga et al. 2017, 2023); Armenia: as H. lezhavai Pyatnitskiy, 1929 reported by Stark (1952) and Arnoldi et al. (1955) from all Transcaucasian countries, including Armenia.
Hosts. Hosts are unknown for Armenia but is reported on numerous deciduous tree species in other areas ( Stark 1952).
