Type species: Pilaria phoenosoma Alexander, 1931 View in CoL (original designation).

Diagnosis. Prescutum with prescutal and tuberculate pits present. Wing with R 3 very short, usually 1/3 length of R 4 or less; R 4 sometimes not reaching at C, free tipped; M 1+2 not forked. Legs with tibial spurs present.

Remark. This genus includes 19 species (18 spp. in the Oriental and 1 sp. in the Afrotropical Regions ( Oosterbroek, 2021).
