Type species (fixed by autotypy [ ICZN 1999, Article 67.8]): Laemophloeus fuscicornis Reitter, 1874 .
Included Species. Only the type species, Yablokophloeus fuscicornis (Reitter, 1874) , new combination.
Etymology. This name is masculine and derived from two words. First, “Yabloko” is derived from the last name of the entomologist Stepan Mironovich Yablokov-Khnzoryan, who originally described this genus in 1977. Second, “phloeus” is from the Greek φλοιός (cortex, bark), and is also a common generic ending in the Laemophloeidae .
