Material. 1 ♀ ( ZMUS), Dagestan, Kayakentsky District, near Novokayakent, Quercus , Fraxinus forest, in leaf litter and soil, N42°23'8", E47°58'2", 15 m, 3. VI.2021, coll. RZ, EB.

Distribution. Mostly the Mediterranean region, known also from Central Europe, Northern Africa, and Western Asia ( Chipman et al. 2013; Simaiakis et al. 2013; Voigtländer & Reip 2013; Cabanillas et al. 2021). Russia: Crimea ( Sseliwanoff 1884), and Dagestan (new).

Remarks. This species and genus Dignathodon are new to the fauna of both the Dagestan and Caucasus.
