Distribution. A Turano-Mediterranean species, introduced worldwide ( Simaiakis et al. 2013; Zuev 2016; Nefediev et al. 2016a). Widespread in Caucasus ( Muralewicz 1929; Zuev 2016; Zuev & Evsyukov 2016).
Remarks. S. coleoptrata , genus Scutigera , family Scutigeridae , and order Scutigeromorpha are new to the fauna of the Dagestan.
