Species of Tmarus can be distinguished from other Thomisidae by the presence of a dorsoposterior tubercle or hump, particularly in females ( Fig. 34 View FIGURES 34–38 ), as well as an elevated ocular area with well-developed lateral eyes (ALE> PLE). The palp can be identified by its stout or elongated embolus. The epigynum is characterized by either a broad hood or a vertical ridge ( Ileperuma Arachchi & Benjamin 2019).
