Label locality: ‘Mazatlan’.

Collector: F. Reigen, 1848-1850.

Type material: Lectotype NHMUK 1979143 and 22 paralectotypes NHMUK 1979144-151 (originally registered as NHMUK 1857.6.4.1828-1835 ) (P.P. Carpenter collection). Lectotype selection ( Bratcher & Cernohorsky, 1987: 140, pl. 40, fig. 156c).
