Xestochironomus View in CoL View at ENA
- Four species were collected, one undescribed. I examined the holotype of X. ankylis , described from Guatemala by Sublette & Sasa (1994); X. gilvus and X. latilobus were described from Venezuela by Borkent. Xestochironomus sp. ZUR-1, represented by seven specimens, will key to couplet 6 in Borkent (1984) but is neither X. subletti Borkent nor X. gilvus Borkent ; it differs in having a very long, thin, anal point and almost straight superior volsellae.
