Material examined. B. gratissima gratissima : CHINA. 1 ♂, 1 ♀, altitude 1600 m, 26.VI.2018, Mts. Gaoligong , Baoshan City, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, P. R. China, leg. Tian-tian Yu, Zhi-wei Dong & Zhou Chang ( SCAU). Additional material: 52 ♂, 11 ♀ from N Vietnam ( MWM / ZSM, CKC); B. gratissima versicolor : Holotype. m #, Thailand: 1450 m, Chiang Mai, Chiang Dao, San Pakia RFD, Watershed Station, 28.IV.– 1. V .1994 / Thailand: I.J. Kitching et al., BMNH (E) 1994-97 / NHMUK010604356 About NHMUK / slide NHMUK010313506 About NHMUK Volynkin ( NHMUK). Paratypes: 19 ♂, 35 ♀ from N Thailand and N Laos listed by Volynkin & Černý (2017c) ( MWM / ZSM, CKC, CAV); CHINA. 2 ♂, altitude 1500 m, 11. Diagnosis. Barsine gratissima is very similar to the nominate subspecies of B. defecta externally, but can be distinguished from it by the ♂ genitalia which show a shorter basal saccular process (that is longer in B. defecta defecta ), thicker dorsal lobe of distal saccular process (that is narrower in B. defecta defecta ) and 2 nd medial diverticulum of aedeagus vesica being longer and bearing smaller cornuti (in B. defecta defecta the 2 nd medial diverticulum of aedeagus vesica is shorter and bears larger cornuti).

Distribution. China * (S and W Yunnan), N Vietnam, N Thailand and N Laos ( Volynkin & Černý 2017c).
